Final Statement Regarding The Investigation of Former Mayor Paul J. Hadzick

The Weatherly Borough maintains a Sexual Harassment Policy. Per this Policy, when Weatherly Borough was notified of allegations of sexual harassment against the former Mayor, the Borough contacted Margolis Edelstein, an impartial law firm out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to investigate the allegations presented. This law firm was not recommended by the F.O.P. or any borough employee. 

After a thorough investigation was performed, the findings were presented to Council, including the former Mayor, in an executive session on April 28, 2025. Following this executive session, the Former Mayor verbally announced his resignation effective immediately, and it was accepted by Council. The former Mayor then published this resignation in writing and Council made its second official acceptance on May 27, 2025. The Former Mayor has posted on social media statements regarding the investigation. The Borough once again does not condone the false statements made by the former Mayor regarding the alleged specifics of the investigation. Specifically, the former Mayor was never told the identities of the four complainants, nor did he receive any apologies for the allegations. 

Due to the nature of the allegations, and for the protection of the individuals involved, Weatherly Borough will be making no further comments on this investigation at this time.
